Your instructor, is a 30 year professional hiking guide, former University of Calgary "Wildflower" hiking guide, Alberta Parks Interpreter and the founder of Full Circle Adventures.
What you will receive:
- A Two-year hands on Apprenticeship, covering edible plant and tree ID, the ethics of foraging, creating a plant calendar, learning earth ceremonies, cooking with wild plants, learning natures first aid and nutritive plants.
- Community and mentorship - small group outdoor learning with Julie Walker. Special guest experts sharing their herbal journey, how to grow edible wild plants, and stories from an Interior Salish cultural teacher.
- Grounded Spiritual Immersion - follow the Earths calendar thru lunar and solar cycles, learning the seasons of the wild plants and their eco-regions. Deepen our connections with the land and honor the Creators intelligence, through drumming and aligning to the seasons.
- Wild Food Fundamentals - learn to dry, store and prepare wild foods for your family. (Option to take the free Food Safety Course). Join a forage and cooking workshop with Full Circle Adventures.
- First year Certificate - confirming Level 1 and 2 Plant Identification Skills.
- Second year Certificate - confirming you as an, "Ethical foraging educator", and level 3 plant identification skills

Apprenticeship Info Sessions:
- Feb. 7 from 3 to 4:30 @ Fish Creek Library, 11161 Bonaventure drive SE, Calgary.
- Feb. 28th from 2 to 3:30 @ Sheep River Library, Turner Valley, AB.
The 1st year consists of 2 evenings and two full days a month. The four solar/lunar ceremonies are separate and there is no charge for them.

March 15 - Balsam Bud foraging
March 21 - Spring Equinox Ceremony
March 25 - Evening course, Trees - The Evergreen trees and shrubs. Edworthy Park. March 29 - Trees and shrubs - Willow bark foraging. Sibbald area
Small group experience: 4 to 8 people. Each month there are 2 evening and 2 Full day courses.
Tuition: $235 per month, or $705 per 3 month trimester. A $90 refundable deposit secures your spot.
